SC2 S 6 Week 2 (ish) Recap

12/6/2013:

12/6 Featured Game

  • Theme: Rank Two is Lame
  • Starting Rank: 3 Silver
  • Ending Rank: 1 Silver
  • Win/Loss: 3/0 (one was when my wife needed help :-p)
  • Highest Ranked Opponent League: Silver
  • Notes:
    • Think about best unit combinations, especially in the end game

12/5/2013:

12/5 Featured Game

  • Theme: Still Apparently King of the Silvers…
  • Starting/Ending Rank: 1 Silver
  • Win/Loss: 7/3
  • Highest Ranked Opponent League: Gold (!!!)
  • Notes:
    • When are tempest usefulI think I’ve been thinking about the wrong. I like how the one guy in the link put it: think of them as a flying siege tank. To me that means that they should be used as a way to chip away at a distant army or buildings, or snipe important units. Just putting them in to an army for extra damage is probably the wrong approach, especially against mass stalkers or phoenix.
    • Work on scouting
    • Should try to work on macro games when the opportunity presents itself, even if the opponent is open for a rush

12/4/2013:

12/4 Featured Game

  • Theme: King of the Silvers!
  • Starting Rank: 3 Silver
  • Ending Rank: 1 Silver
  • Win/Loss: 5/2
  • Highest Ranked Opponent League: Silver
  • Notes:
    • Come up with strategies to take on midgame terran (zealot/archon, faster collosus,?)
  • Also 4v4’s with Captain Miller! Including a game where two of our teammates proxy cannon rushed the other team (good times). 2 wins, unranked.

12/3/2013:

12/3 Featured Game

  • Theme: Makin’ My Way to the Top
  • Starting Rank: 19 Silver
  • Ending Rank: 3 Silver
  • Win/Loss: 9/4 (one was when my wife needed help :-p)
  • Highest Ranked Opponent League: Silver
  • Notes:
    • Still work on spotting cheese (dt rush, cannons), figuring out a late game strategy instead of just macroing blindly

11/27/2013:

  • Starting Rank: 20 Bronze
  • Ending Rank: 8 Silver
  • Win/Loss: 9/3 (cheese is not my friend)
